Prayagraj: There is a special skill hidden in every person, by identifying which a different identity can be created in the world. Rajendra Tiwari alias ‘Dukaan Ji’ of Prayagraj is a great example of this unique talent. He has earned name in the country and abroad with his unique ‘mustache dance’. This art is so unique that his name has been registered in the Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of Records.
Dukan ji is the only mustache dance artist of India. In this unique dance, he uses his facial muscles to move the candles placed on his mustache along with the music. The special thing is that during this dance his entire body remains stable. While talking to Local 18, Dukaan ji told that to perfect this art, he got his 32 teeth broken and he has been toothless for the last 20 years.
more than 50 honors
Dukan ji has received more than 50 honors so far and has won the hearts of people with his mustache dance in hundreds of programs. He has also got a chance to act in many TV serials. He told that this art is an identity which he wants to pass on to the coming generations. However, he also believes that in today’s time people have stopped having mustaches, due to which there are challenges in promoting this art.
